Never a friend like Jesus,
Never a sickness
He cannot heal,
Never a burden
He cannot bear,
Never a problem
He cannot solve,
Never an affliction
He cannot cure,
Never a friend like Jesus.

Jesus is a friend
Closer than a brother.
He is compassionate,
He is the redeemer,
He is the saviour,
He is the restorer.

Jesus is a roadway
To the lost.
He is a friend
Of the sinner.
He is the water
To the thirsty.
He is the bread
To the hungry.
Never a friend like Jesus.
