The Bible calls the Church ‘The body of Christ’ of which Jesus Christ is the Head.
1 Corinthians 12 v27,”All of you are Christ’s body and each one is a part of it”.

Ephesians 1 v22-23,”God put all things under Christ’s feet and gave Him to the Church as supreme lord over all things. The Church is Christ’s body, the completion of him who himself completes all things everywhere.”

Colossians 1v18,”he is the head of His body, The Church; He is the source of the body’s life. He is the first born son, who was raised from the death, in order that He alone might have the first place in all things”
