Christian church has sent its numerous missionaries across the world to abolish the evils and help those who are in need. All this has started in some 1500, when the Christian church first got its legal and autonomous authority in the world. It was the church then who decides the laws to defend all human beings from whatever sort of mistreatment and professes that everyone should get two meals a day.
In this, there are numerous papal bulls named and released in the world to spread the message of peace and love. These were the people who roamed around the world to convey the pope's message and in their maximum capacity have tried to put a full halt on the evil practices that were continuing in that period of time.
First few papal bulls were sent to put a brake on the slavery. Of course, from then on, as the evil practices are emerging from time to time, papal bulls have been sent to convince the rulers of that region to stop such practices. Most of the atrocities in that period were inflicted by the men of the ruler themselves. Instead of protecting and generating a feeling of trust in the individuals of the country, they started inflicting terror in mortals. It was believed that if individuals were terrified, they won't raise their voices against the king. But like all bad things come to an end, so were this.
After few years, a new democratic authorities formed in most of the countries. Once they got freedom from their colonial rulers, they established their own government. Learning from the lessons in past, most of them has come up with the form of legal system where ability doesn't lie in whatever one's hands but in the hands of the mortals. Now, the ruler has to work for the individuals or else he or she will fear souls may throw him/ her anytime.
The divine outreach of the church is not only through the papal bulls but as well through divine missionary which have made this world a better place with their work. For instance, Mother Teresa, who has won a Nobel Peace price for her work for the poor and disease-ridden across the world, especially in India, is one of the firm believer in Christian church. Similarly, thousands of unknown missionaries who are working in countries like India, African regions and war-torn countries of Iraq and Afghanistan have once again generated the trust in Christianity with their work.
This work is important in the war-torn and disease-ridden regions as the governments of these countries are in dire require of helping hands and aids from the developed world to their make souls survive and fight the trauma of war. Aid could come from various sources like Non-governmental organisations (NGOs), governments and UNO, but there is the need to be a selfless channel which will see that the money is reaching to those who are in require and than is used properly and without whatever bias. Here, comes the work of these missionaries. They treat the diseased and help the victims to battle the trauma, and at the same time, build the infrastructure to make them independent and help them to begin their lives once again.
