Christian life is the most challenging life, being God’s partner in life and the brother of Christ Himself! What an honor and in the same time a great responsibility! A real Christian is a winner because he is always on God’s hand. "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in the hope of the glory of God." Romans 5:1, 2
Here we can see more then one thing that we receive through Christ in God, there is more then one thing listed here but the one that I would like to look at is the one where it says that we have access to God…being able to reach out and touch God (through faith) is a very important step in the believer’s life, it is one of those things that make Christianity worth living you might say, to have access to God, to be able to pray and know beyond any shadow of a doubt that God did hear your prayer is very important in the Christian life, it is essential to know that we can contact God and that He isn’t up there just watching us, although that is true, but it is even more true and spectacular the fact that we have access to God, we can make contact with the One who loves us and gave Himself for us.
"As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby:" 1 Peter 2:2
Not only do we have access to God on our Christian life but being able to grow is also something that is promised to us, God does not save us from eternal death for nothing , God wants us to have an intimate relationship with Him, to be able to know Him and to be more like Him, to be able to let God manifest Himself through your life. You have to grow in Him and the knowledge of Christ…read Philippians chapter four.
"For it became Him, for whom are all things, and by whim are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. For both He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying ‘I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.’ And again ‘I will put my trust in him’ and again ‘behold I and the children which God hath given me.’" Hebrews 2:10-13
As we can see hear beyond any shadow of a doubt we are the brothers and sisters of Christ…the moment we are saved we are adopted into the family of god, that makes us not only the brothers and sisters of other believers but it also make us the brothers and sisters of Christ…it says "For He that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one, for which cause He is not ashamed to call them brethren."
The one that is sanctifying is Jesus Christ, the ones that are being sanctified are the believers and it clearly says that Christ is not ashamed to call us His brothers. Just think every person that has received the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior is also the adopted brother of Christ. He is not only our King and the One who deserves all glory and power, He is also the One that is not ashamed to call us His brethren. Whoever said that the Christian life is a dull one, should have his information reexamined.
"Nay, in all these things we are more then conquerors through Him that loves us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angles, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8: 37-39
Just think, not only do we have access to God and the ability to grow in the knowledge of Him, but Christ calls us His brethren and, the icing on the cake, we are victorious through the one that saved us…we are more then conquerors! Moreover, to top it all off, nothing is capable of separating us form the Love of God! What more can a Christian possibly need in his walk with Christ?
