Assurance of Salvation For Christians

One huge point to stress is that for every religious person there is the need for introspection, a willing intention for one to continually examine and re-examine oneself in relation to one's confessed faith. Indeed, every self-professed Christian should constantly ensure that he/she is still in tune with the faith, '... examine yourself, whether you be in faith, prove your own selves...'

Several ways are extant for this exercise:

First, do you enjoy fellowship with God your Creator? That is to say, do you love to stay alone with Him in prayers and study His word? Also, do you enjoy fellowship with other believers? This helps to harmonize our love relationship with one another.

Second, if truly you are still in faith you must hate sin. You wouldn't want to displease God, or to sin at will. 1 John 1: 5-10. The Bible is unambiguous on it that if we love God we will keep His commandments.

Third, how do you value the things of this world? Are you willing to give up anything that displeases God?

Fourth, how prepared are you for the second coming of Christ? How often do you love sharing with others about Salvation of their souls?

Fifth, do you love other believers? Are they your closest relations and friends?

Sixth, can you boldly confess that you have an inner witness of the Holy Spirit in you? Rom. 8: 15.

Seventh, do you still doubt or argue about the basic spiritual truths?

Eighth, are you ready to suffer for Christ or to go through persecution for your Christian faith or position? John 15: 18.

Pray that God will give you the grace to believe and be certain you are a candidate for the Kingdom of God.
