Investing Your Talents For God's Glory

re you just working nine to five? Are you stuck in a rut? It's time to find your talent and start to invest it for God. Perhaps your talent is doing your work, can you use it better? Here is a little of my story.

I have had a quite normal upbringing. I was young when I received Jesus and then after I was sexually abused fell into some sin and spent twenty years away from churches. Lots of people have that.

Through all the years away from church my mother faithfully prayed and Jesus must have had all of the prayers like in an email folder for later in my life. My journey back to God came about when my wife left me. I got very sad and fell in a real hole. Around that time I also got a mental illness.

When I turned my face to Jesus and got baptized eventually the Lord God saw fit to Baptize me also in the Holy Spirit and gave me the gift of tongues.

Years later, I started to prophesy. I was taught what the gifts, word of knowledge, word of wisdom and prophesy were out of books I read and I was actively working in those gifts. So at that stage I saw that I had four of the nine gifts. Three years ago I started a prophecy website that offered free personal prophecies to people that wrote via email for one. At that time, three years ago I had people on my team doing prophecies and then I had people praying for the people. At this time I learned to pray in the Spirit, I call it where I allow the Holy Spirit to give me the words to pray. I noticed the prayers were quite prophetic in nature.

Working on that site gave me great joy but sadly I had a breakdown and I lost the team and stopped for a while. Then a year later I started a prayer and prophecy site and started a team of four people who did prayers and prophecy but I left the site to a friend to run.

But in the past year the Lord has had me build that team of four to about ten prophets where we are doing twenty the thirty prophecies over the net a week. I am their team leader and appoint more people to prophesy sometimes two join a month. It is such a joy to read the prophecies that are going out each week and I still keep my hand in and do personal prophecies myself.

Last year I was in a church and someone prophesied in tongues and the Lord gave me the interpretation to the tongues. Two people put something forward and the two meanings dovetailed and had a really good overall meaning. I was pleased that I had found my fifth gift of the Spirit. Once more I did an interpretation of tongues and so I know that I can do it.

It gives you such a joy to walk in the gifts.

One of my talents I found was a gift for writing so over the past two years the Lord has led me to write over 300 article here on the net. It works really well as the more I write the more people click though and visit the prophecy site where my prophets prophesy to people and bring them great comfort.

I have found from the website and managing a growing team that I am quite a good leader. Everyone on the site seems to respect me as their leader and look up to me. I feel like Joseph and Daniel where the Lord gave them favor with people. I have learned to lead well and inspire my team. Rather then just me doing five prophecies a week, I have a whole team doing heaps more. We had three more people join the team this week. I learned to lead at Mc Donald's when I was young and I don't think I lost it.

Since I started writing articles and teaching on the web I have had 123,000 people read them and have received a lot of positive feedback on them. You get better at writing and doing it really easily when you have plenty of practice.

There are so many things you can do for the Lord. The Lord speaks in his parable about investing the talents God gives us. As my life grows and develops I find more and more talents coming out.

Tonight I was on a site called Yahoo Answers and I found a category of questions called dream interpretation. I once had a person that wrote for a prophecy and asked me about a dream he had and asked me if I could seek the Lord for an interpretation for him. As soon as I read the dream the Lord told me what it meant. And tonight as I looked at the dreams people were posting as questions looking for people to answer I found myself getting answers for the people and they were Christian flavored answers. I found myself putting a Christian interpretation next to one that was done by a psychic for the person. Yahoo answers is a site where you can ask a question on any subject and people from all around the world write in and offer an answer. You get two points for an answer and get ten points if the person that asks the question picks you as the best answer. They give you a percentage of how many of your answers have been picked as best answers. Mine is 8% of answers have been picked as a best answer. One of the psychics on the dream interpretation category has 34% best answers. That means for every three answers they answer their answer is picked.

Joseph was a dream interpreter and it was a gift he had. I think I did very well tonight I will find out when the votes come in.

God wants to use us all. There are things we are good at. None of the things I do earn me money. Well sometimes people donate money to the prophecy site, but we don't ask for money for a prophecy and 99% of people don't offer any.
